Kp index

Geomagnetic storms are the origin of strong disturbances in precise positioning with GNSS.
Geomagnetic index Kp (Planetary K) is a measure of the geomagnetic storm intensity at a global scale. Kp is a 3-hour index whose values range from 0 (quiet) to 9 (severe storm).

This page presents real time provisional Kp index from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/).
